Trainee Counsellor Needed

We do take on trainee therapists from time to time - if you are interested in doing your placement with Affordable Talk CIC please get in touch and include details of your current training course, experience and attach a copy of your CV.

We can offer a huge variety of clients and are happy to offer them short or long term therapy, depending on their needs. We also offer a progression option for trainees to stay with us as a newly qualified and then qualified counsellor post-qualification if wanted; we offer peer-to-peer supervision every 4-5 weeks, and whilst we can provide you with the names of suitable supervisors, we don't pay for your individual supervision.

We work closely with course providers to ensure we comply with all their requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• We ask that our trainees do a minimum of 3 hours (or appointments) per week with us.
• You need to have attained a Level 4 or above (or the equivalent, depending on your course provider)
